Kellyn Taylor Wins Grandma's Marathon with Big Personal BestBy Adam Kopet Kellyn Taylor won the Grandma's Marathon in Duluth, Minnesota, breaking the course record and setting a massive personal best Saturday, according to a release from HOKA ONE ONE Northern Arizona Elite. Taylor's time of 2:24:28 broke the course record by over two minutes and was a personal best by more than four minutes. It also makes her the seventh-fastest American woman on the U.S. all-conditions marathon list. The lead pack, which included Taylor, was four runners at the halfway point and had dwindled down to three at 16 miles. That was when Taylor took charge and opened a gap of a minute in her win. Taylor's previous best marathon came at the 2015 Houston Marathon where she ran 2:28:40. She finished sixth place at the 2016 Olympic Trials Marathon. Last year, Taylor finished 13th at the London Marathon in 2:28:51 and eighth in the New York City Marathon in 2:29:56.
